From last few years, (Facebook) has become way too strict in controlling things that a user wants to see in his or her

Newsfeed as well as in what order they want to look at it.

But now, in accordance with new experiment, Facebook is going to give you a little bit of power to control things as you want.

AdWeek’s Social Times reported on this new experiment conducted by Facebook:

“For some mobile users, a box with an animated puppy shows up, prompting the user to ‘See more of what you love.’

“From there, it leads to a screen (below) with bubbles of all of the friends and pages with whom that person has connected. People can select which pages and friends they’d like prioritized above the algorithm.”

Facebook conducts a new experiment with its Algorithm

Most of the users are definitely going to be happy with this cool move by Facebook, however if we talk about Facebook, its no more than a gamble. The reason why I am saying so is that Facebook Algorithm knows even better than you what you actually want theoretically because of which, you keep on visiting Facebook again and again. Now, if you are gonna become able to decide what you want to look at in your Newsfeed and choose pages and friends that might end up with posting stuff that you don’t like, there is a chance that you will loose the level of interest you
had before in Facebook.

Facebook further said:

“We are always exploring new ways to improve the Facebook experience, and are currently running a small test of a feature that lets you indicate that you’d like to see posts from a specific person or Page at the top of your News Feed”.
